COLOMBO, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka's benchmark All Share Price Index (ASPI) of the Colombo Stock Exchange surpassed the 19,000 mark for the first time on Tuesday.
The ASPI crossed the milestone at 9:34 a.m. local time. Meanwhile, the S&P SL20 increased to 5,712.92 points by 10 a.m. The ASPI surpassed the 18,500 mark for the first time on July 11.
The ASPI measures the overall market's movements, while the S&P SL20 tracks the performance of 20 leading publicly traded companies listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange. ■
