TEHRAN, July 14 (Xinhua) -- At least seven people were injured on Monday in a gas explosion at a residential building in Iran's central Qom Province, the state-run IRIB news agency reported.
The explosion occurred in a unit on the first floor of the building, located in the Pardisan residential complex south of Qom, the report said, adding that rescuers and law enforcement personnel were at the scene.
Five ambulances were dispatched to the scene, IRIB quoted Mohammad-Javad Bagheri, head of the provincial emergency medical services, as saying.
According to Qom's fire department, initial investigations indicated that a gas leak caused the explosion, and no fatalities have been reported so far. ■
