GAZA -- At least 46 Palestinians were killed in Israeli gunfire and shelling across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, including 27 near an aid distribution center, said the civil defense in Gaza.

TEHRAN -- Three policemen have been killed in a clash with members of a "terrorist" group in Iran's southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, the official news agency IRNA reported Saturday.
The confrontation occurred on Friday in Chabahar County, where the militants engaged in an armed exchange with patrol officers. Four officers were injured during the clash, three of whom later died from their wounds, the report said. (Iran-Policemen-Death)

YANGON -- Myanmar authorities have seized 26.4 kg of heroin in Sagaing region, Myanmar, the state-owned daily The Mirror reported on Saturday.
