KUALA LUMPUR -- China and Japan can jointly advance the strategic relationship of mutual benefit and strive to build constructive and stable bilateral ties fit for the new era, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said here on Thursday.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks during his meeting with Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya.

NEW DELHI -- The death toll in Wednesday's bridge collapse in India's western state of Gujarat rose to 15 on Thursday, even as relief and rescue works continued overnight, confirmed a local official.

JAKARTA -- Indonesia's Bandung Institute of Technology, in cooperation with the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, on Wednesday completed the main antenna installation for the country's first Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) Global Observing System (VGOS) radio telescope at the Bosscha Observatory in Bandung, West Java Province.

The telescope project is part of a broader bilateral collaboration under the framework of the "Cooperation Plan on Jointly Promoting Cooperation within the Framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Global Maritime Fulcrum," signed by China and Indonesia on Nov. 16, 2022.
