KABUL -- A coalmine worker lost his life and another sustained injury as a tunnel of a coalmine collapsed in northern Afghanistan's Samangan province on Thursday, provincial police spokesman Hashmatullah Rahmani said Friday.

ISLAMABAD -- At least nine passengers were abducted and shot dead after gunmen intercepted at least two buses in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, the spokesperson of the provincial government confirmed on Friday.

MANILA -- Four people, including a flight instructor, were injured after a four-seater Cessna 172 plane crashed into a farmland in Zambales province, northwest of Manila, on Friday morning, aviation authorities said.
