ISLAMABAD, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's exports of services increased by 8.6 percent year-on-year to 7.65 billion U.S. dollars during the first 11 months of the ongoing fiscal year of 2024-25, official data showed on Thursday.
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the increase was primarily driven by strong growth in telecommunication, computer, and information services, which rose by 18.62 percent to 3.47 billion dollars during the July-May period, up from 2.93 billion dollars a year earlier.
Exports of other business services also rose by 6.84 percent to 1.53 billion dollars, while transport services surged by 24.89 percent to 878 million dollars. However, travel services declined by 4.15 percent to 669 million dollars. ■
