HONG KONG, July 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted Ryukyu Islands, Japan at 0507 GMT on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 29.41 degrees north latitude and 129.57 degrees east longitude. ■
