KATHMANDU, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Nepal welcomed 577,689 foreign tourists in the past six months of this year, down 0.91 percent over the same period of last year, the Nepal Tourism Board said on Wednesday.
A total of 583,016 foreigners visited Nepal in the first six months of 2024.
Tourism is a major foreign currency earner and job creator for Nepal. ■
