JERUSALEM -- Houthi forces fired a missile toward Israel on Tuesday night, triggering air raid sirens in central and southern parts of the country before it was intercepted, the Israeli military said in a statement.

GAZA -- At least 45 Palestinians were killed by Israeli shelling and gunfire in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, Gaza's Civil Defense said, while the Israeli army announced that it had attacked 140 targets in the coastal enclave over the past 24 hours.

CAIRO -- The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources confirmed on Tuesday that the offshore barge "Adam Marine 12," owned by the Offshore Shukheir Oil Company, capsized earlier in the day in the Gulf of Suez.
