KATHMANDU, July 1 (Xinhua) -- A total of 71 people lost lives in disasters across Nepal in the past two and a half months, a government agency said on Tuesday.
Besides, one person went missing and 375 others were injured in 1,878 disasters recorded between April 14 and June 30, according to a report by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.
Lightning strikes were the deadliest with 22 deaths, followed by fire accidents and altitude sickness with 13 deaths and 12 deaths, respectively, the report said. ■
