JERUSALEM, June 22 (Xinhua) -- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported in a statement that it carried out dozens of simultaneous strikes on military targets in four locations in western and central Iran on Sunday.
The statement added that the strikes were carried out by approximately 30 fighter jets, which dropped over 60 munitions with guidance from IDF intelligence.
As part of the strikes, Israeli jets targeted the Imam Hussein strategic missile command center in the Yazd area, where long-range Khorramshahr missiles were stored, the IDF said.
It added that around 60 missiles have been launched from this command center toward Israel.
Meanwhile, missile launchers were struck in Isfahan, Bushehr, and Ahvaz, the statement read.
It added that strikes were also conducted on military sites involved in the production of aerial defense batteries, a drone command center, and a drone storage facility.
The IDF added that during the strikes, an Israeli aircraft identified Iranian soldiers loading missile launchers and killed them. ■
