KABUL, June 23 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan interim government's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the U.S. strikes on the nuclear installations in Iran, a spokesman for the ministry said.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan...condemns the U.S. strikes on the nuclear facilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran and expresses concern over the growing instability in the region," Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesman for the ministry, said on social media.
Tensions in the Middle East have escalated following U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. ■
