TEHRAN/JERUSALEM -- Iran conducted the 21st wave of missile and drone attacks on Israel on Monday morning, reported the state-run IRIB TV.
The country has used a combination of solid- and liquid-fuel missiles in the attack as well as special tactics to render Israel's air defense ineffective, the report said.
Earlier on Monday, Iran's army announced that it had launched tens of kamikaze drones equipped with warheads towards Israel. (Iran-Israel-Attack)

MOSCOW -- The unprovoked aggression against Iran has no basis or justification, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday at a meeting with visiting Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
"Your visit to Russia comes at a complex time, a period of acute tension in the region and around your country," Putin told Araghchi.
"Our position on the ongoing events is well-known. It has been clearly outlined by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and you are aware of our stance in the UN Security Council," Putin said. (Russia-Iran-Ties)

BUCHAREST -- Romania's main political parties signed a coalition agreement on Monday to form a pro-Western government for the 2025-2028 term, pledging structural reforms, democratic consolidation, and economic stability.
The coalition includes the Social Democratic Party (PSD), National Liberal Party (PNL), Save Romania Union (USR), Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR), and the Parliamentary Group of National Minorities. The agreement was finalized at the Romanian Senate. (Romania-Coalition-Government)

KINSHASA -- More than 136,000 people have fled escalating violence in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) since January, seeking refuge in neighboring Burundi and Uganda, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) said on Monday.
Uganda has received nearly 67,000 new arrivals from the eastern DRC, which now constitutes "one of the world's worst humanitarian emergencies," while Burundi has taken in over 70,000, most of whom are women and children, according to UNICEF. (DR Congo-Refugee-Violence) ■
