TEHRAN, June 22 (Xinhua) -- Iran on Sunday executed a man convicted of spying for Israel's intelligence agency Mossad against the county, the Mizan news agency of the Iranian judiciary reported.
The convict, Majid Mosayyebi, was executed following complete judicial proceedings and the upholding of his death sentence by the Supreme Court of Iran, the report said.
According to Mizan, Mosayyebi had sought to send Iran's classified and sensitive information to Mossad in return for money.
Iran has executed several men convicted of espionage for Mossad in recent months. ■
