GAZA -- The Israeli army on Friday ordered residents in parts of Gaza City to evacuate immediately ahead of an offensive, as the Gaza Civil Defense reported approximately 50 deaths across the coastal enclave.
"The Israeli military is operating with extreme force to destroy the capabilities of terrorist organizations in the area and will attack any site used to launch rockets," Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said in a statement, asking residents in designated areas to evacuate westward to shelters and do not return to dangerous combat zones. JERUSALEM -- A fresh barrage of missiles launched from Iran struck northern Israel on Friday, wounding 21 people and causing significant damage in the coastal city of Haifa, according to Israel's national emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA).
Among the wounded in Haifa, the MDA said two were seriously injured -- a 16-year-old boy and a man in his forties. Two others sustained moderate injuries, while the remaining 17 were lightly wounded. (Israel-Iran Attack-Injury)

TEHRAN -- Several explosions were reported on Friday across three locations in Iran's western Khuzestan province following Israeli attacks, according to Iran's Mehr news agency.
One blast occurred around 15:00 local time (1130 GMT) in Ahvaz County, shattering windows in residential buildings. Citing local sources, Mehr said the strike targeted an industrial shed that had already been evacuated. (Israel-Iran-Conflict)

DUBAI -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday announced a government reshuffle and a landmark decision to integrate the country's national artificial intelligence (AI) system as an advisory member of the cabinet and all associated councils starting from January 2026.
"This move aims to support decision-making, provide real-time analysis, offer technical advice, and improve the efficiency of government policies across all sectors," UAE's Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum made the announcement in a post on social media platform X.
