DHAKA, June 18 (Xinhua) -- The total number of mobile phone users in Bangladesh surpassed 186 million at the end of April this year, according to the latest statistics from the country's telecom regulator.
Data from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) showed that the number of subscribers in the South Asian country reached 186.64 million in April.
The number of subscribers of the four mobile operators -- Grameen Phone, Robi Axiata, Banglalink Digital Communications and Teletalk Bangladesh -- stood at 85.48 million, 56.60 million, 38 million and 6.56 million respectively at the end of April, the BTRC data showed. ■
