MANILA, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and five others injured in a vehicle accident in Tagaytay City in Cavite province, south of Manila, local police said Wednesday.
The police said the crash occurred on Tuesday along a highway when a multi-purpose vehicle veered toward the opposite lane and collided head-on with an oncoming car.
The driver of the sedan and his two passengers were declared dead at a local hospital, the police said.
The 18-year-old driver of the multi-purpose vehicle and his four passengers sustained injuries from the crash.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident. ■
