MINSK, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian gross domestic product (GDP) grew 2.5 percent year on year in the January-May period of 2025, data from the country's statistical committee showed on Tuesday.
The GDP volume in current prices within this period amounted to 101.4 billion Belarusian rubles (around 34 billion U.S. dollars), the country's statistical committee said.
The GDP deflator index in January-May 2025 compared to the previous year amounted to 106.4 percent.
In 2024, Belarus' economy grew by 4 percent, 0.2 percent more than the government predicted. ■
