JAKARTA, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's state-owned company, PT Inalum (PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum), the country's leading aluminum producer, recorded an output of 274,230 tons of aluminum in 2024, an increase of 27.6 percent compared to the previous year, a senior official announced on Tuesday.
PT Inalum President Director Melati Sarnita reported that the company generated revenue of 716.9 million U.S. dollars in 2024. She attributed this achievement to more efficient operations and improved competitiveness amid fluctuating global commodity prices.
"With the support of shareholders and all stakeholders, PT Inalum is optimistic about becoming the main driver of a strong, sustainable, and globally competitive national aluminum industry," Sarnita said.
PT Inalum is the largest aluminum producer in Indonesia and plays a significant role in exporting aluminum to international markets. The company's total assets amount to 2.47 billion U.S. dollars. ■
