For the past four decades, he has completed the migration every year. Saintsogt's pasture is a part of the Ar Horqin Grassland Nomadic System, which was listed as one of the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) sites by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on May 20, 2022. Balatijan drove vehicles to transport belongings and his family members to the summer pasture only in two days. And he can focus on driving sheep on the third day in a traditional way. The using of vehicles facilitates the life of the herders. Meanwhile the improvement of the infrastructure in the pastoral areas has brought continuous benefits to their daily lives.
