NEW DELHI -- At least two people were killed and 32 others injured, with several others swept away, on Sunday after a bridge collapsed in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, officials said.

JAKARTA -- Indonesia has officially lifted import quotas on live cattle in a move to strengthen food security, a minister announced on Sunday.
Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan said the government aimed to ensure the availability of milk and meat for public consumption. NEW DELHI -- Seven people, including two children, the pilot and four male passengers, were dead in the private chopper crash in India's northern hilly state of Uttarakhand early on Sunday, a senior state government official said.

TOKYO -- Japan's weather agency on Sunday warned of heavy rain with thunder in eastern Japan and some other regions.
