NEW DELHI -- At least two people were killed and 32 others injured, with several others swept away, on Sunday after a bridge collapsed in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, officials said.

ANKARA -- One person was killed, and 19 others were injured Sunday after an air balloon crashed in central Türkiye, local daily Cumhuriyet reported.

ABUJA -- More than 70 people were killed in a weekend attack by suspected herders who swooped on a community in Nigeria's central state of Benue, several sources said on Sunday.
Udeme Edet, spokesperson for the police in Benue, said in a statement that the attack occurred in Yelwata, a town in the Guma local government area, between late Friday and the early hours of Saturday, but he did not state a casualty figure. (Nigeria-Attack-Casualty)

KABUL -- Four miners have lost their lives after a coalmine tunnel caved in northern Afghanistan's Samangan province, said a statement of the provincial police office on Sunday.
Police with the support of locals discovered the bodies from a coalmine in Dara-i-Sufi Bala district on Saturday night and handed them over to their families, the statement said. (Afghanistan-Coalmine Collapse) ■
