NEW YORK, June 13 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 jolted Kuril Islands at 18:35:12 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 46.13 degrees north latitude and 153.23 degrees east longitude. ■
