VIENTIANE, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith has extended his warm congratulations to Lee Jae-myung on his election as President of South Korea.
In a message, Thongloun expressed his great joy and sincere congratulations on Lee Jae-myung's election on Wednesday.
Thongloun emphasized the significance of 2025 as a milestone year, marking the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Laos and South Korea, Lao News Agency reported on Friday.
"This anniversary presents a valuable opportunity to further deepen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between our two nations," it stated.
