ISLAMABAD, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani security forces killed two terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the country's southwest Balochistan province, the military said Friday.
The operation was conducted in Kolpur area of Kachhi district after credible intelligence indicated the presence of terrorists, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military.
"Security forces effectively engaged the terrorists' hideout. Following an intense exchange of fire, two terrorists were killed," the statement said.
The military added that weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the killed terrorists, who were involved in multiple terrorist activities against law enforcement agencies and civilians. ■
