UNITED NATIONS -- The United States on Wednesday vetoed a Security Council draft resolution that would have demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the immediate lifting of all restrictions on humanitarian aid.

The draft resolution, tabled by the 10 elected members of the Security Council, won the support of 14 out of the 15 members of the council. The United States, which holds veto power, voted against it. (UN-Gaza-Resolution)

KHARTOUM -- At least 14 people were killed on Wednesday in an artillery attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeting a market inside a displacement camp in El Fasher, capital of North Darfur State in western Sudan, a local official said.

LA PAZ -- At least three people were killed and 15 injured early Wednesday when a passenger bus overturned while trying to bypass a roadblock in southwest Bolivia, said the police.
