DAMASCUS/JERUSALEM -- Israeli artillery struck targets in Syria's western Daraa province on Tuesday, Syrian state media and a war monitor reported, in what Israel said was a response to rockets fired from Syria into the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
Syria's state-run news agency SANA said the Israeli shelling targeted the Yarmouk Basin, a region near the Jordanian border and the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights. It provided no immediate details on casualties or damage. (Syria-Israel-Attacks)

KHARTOUM -- Sudan's warring sides traded accusations on Tuesday after a United Nations aid convoy came under attack in North Darfur, killing five humanitarian workers and injuring several more.
The convoy, comprising 15 trucks delivering emergency food and nutrition supplies to famine-stricken El Fasher, was struck late Monday in the Al-Koma area, according to a joint statement released on Tuesday by the World Food Programme (WFP) and the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF). DOHA -- Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, met here on Tuesday with a Syrian delegation headed by foreign affairs chief Asaad Hassan al-Shibani to discuss bilateral relations and avenues of cooperation, according to a statement issued by Qatar's Foreign Ministry.

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi movement said on Tuesday it launched a "hypersonic ballistic missile" targeting Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, claiming the attack disrupted airport operations and sent "millions of Israelis" to shelters.
