COLOMBO, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka has received 650 million U.S. dollars in foreign direct investment (FDI) during the first quarter of 2025, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Sunil Handunnetti told Parliament on Wednesday.
He said the investments were directed toward 64 projects, representing a significant increase compared to previous years.
In 2023, Sri Lanka attracted only 483 million dollars for the entire year, while the total for 2024 was 724 million dollars, he said. ■
