PRAGUE, June 3 (Xinhua) -- Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced on Tuesday that Eva Decroix will be the new justice minister to replace Pavel Blazek, who announced his resignation last week.
Decroix is the vice-chair of the Civic Democratic Party and a member of the Chamber of Deputies.
In a statement, Fiala said that he had agreed with President Petr Pavel that the new minister would be appointed on June 10.
Blazek announced his decision to resign last Friday over a case involving bitcoins donated to the Ministry of Justice.
Fiala described Decroix's appointment as "the best possible choice," both for the ministry and its tasks, and for clarifying all the contexts related to the bitcoin donation case. ■
