KABUL, May 31 (Xinhua) -- A total of 2,202 Afghan families with 9,288 members returned home from neighboring Iran and Pakistan on Thursday and Friday, Afghanistan's High Commission for Addressing Returnees Problems said Saturday.
The commission provides temporary shelters, nourishment, water, medical care, and transportation services to the returnees.
Nearly 7 million Afghan refugees, most of whom are undocumented migrants, are currently living abroad, with most living in Iran and Pakistan. ■
