GAZA -- Hamas said in an official statement on Wednesday that it has reached an agreement with U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff on a general framework for a Gaza ceasefire.

GAZA/JERUSALEM -- At least 55 Palestinians were killed on Wednesday in Israeli attacks across Gaza, said Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense.
In northern Gaza, nine people were killed and several others, including a journalist, were wounded in an Israeli airstrike on the home of the Al-Arbid family in the Saftawi area, while 10 people, including a woman, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a Palestinian gathering and a mobile phone charging point in Jabalia, Basal told Xinhua.
