PHNOM PENH, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia has arrested a gang of eight Vietnamese nationals for trafficking, possessing and manufacturing illicit drugs, seizing almost 57 kg of narcotics, the National Police said on Wednesday.
The all-male suspects were caught red-handed during raids on two locations in southeastern Svay Rieng province on May 20-22.
"A total of 56.9 kilograms of ketamine, crystal methamphetamine, methamphetamine tablets, and ecstasy were seized from the suspects' possession during the crackdown," the National Police said on its website.
A number of drug manufacturing equipment had also been confiscated during the raids, the police added. ■
