LONDON, May 26 (Xinhua) -- A car rammed into the crowd at the trophy parade celebrating Liverpool's Premier League victory on Monday, and local police have confirmed they are attending the scene. The car had been stopped, and a male had been detained.
In a statement, a Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We were contacted just after 6 p.m. today, Monday 26 May, following reports that a car had been in collision with several pedestrians on Water Street."
North West Ambulance Service said it is still assessing the situation and working to ensure people receive the medical help they need. ■
