LONDON -- Dozens of people, including four children, were injured after a car ploughed into a crowd celebrating Liverpool Football Club's Premier League victory in the British city, emergency services said on Monday.

SANTIAGO -- Chile's President Gabriel Boric was set to travel Monday to the southern city of Puerto Varas after an unusually strong tornado whipped through the town Sunday, injuring 19 people, damaging over 250 homes, and knocking down power lines and trees.

DAKAR -- At least 11 people were killed and 7 others injured, including 2 in critical condition, after a building under construction collapsed in Touba, a city in central Senegal, the Senegalese Ministry of Health and Social Action said Monday on social media.
According to local media reports, the accident occurred Sunday afternoon. The collapsed structure was a three-storey building still under construction. NEW YORK -- A manhunt was underway in northern Arkansas after a former police chief convicted of first-degree murder and rape slipped out of a high-security prison, dressed in a fake law enforcement uniform, according to The New York Times on Monday.
Grant Hardin, 56, who had previously served as the police chief in Gateway, Arkansas, escaped from the Calico Rock North Central Unit around 2:50 p.m. Sunday local time, county officials said. He is considered extremely dangerous. (US Arkansas-Manhunt-Grant Hardin) ■
