MOSCOW, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Russia's air defenses shot down 105 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 35 over the Moscow region, the defense ministry said Thursday.
"From 00:00 to 05:30 Moscow time, air defense systems on duty destroyed and intercepted 105 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said in a statement.
Temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft have been introduced at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport from 9:54 a.m. Moscow time (0654 GMT), and at the city's Zhukovsky Airport, authorities said.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Thursday morning said Russian air defense continues to repel Ukrainian drone attacks. ■
