MEXICO CITY, May 20 (Xinhua) -- Pachuca has signed Brazilian winger Robert Kennedy on a year-long loan from Spain's Real Valladolid, both clubs said on Tuesday.
The deal includes an option for the Mexican side to make the 29-year-old's move permanent next summer.
"He is the signing that we needed for the FIFA Club World Cup," the club said in a social media post, referring to the tournament in the United States that will run from June 15 to July 13.
Kenedy has made 44 appearances and scored two goals across all competitions for Real Valladolid since joining the club from Chelsea in 2022.
Pachuca will make its debut in the FIFA Club World Cup against Red Bull Salzburg on June 18 before also facing Al-Hilal and Real Madrid in the group stage. ■
