VIENTIANE, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Representatives from the Lao government and business sectors gathered this week for a capacity-building workshop on curriculum development, aimed at enhancing skills in curriculum design for priority areas and strengthening vocational education through industry-aligned training programs.
The workshop, which took place in Lao capital Vientiane from Monday to Tuesday, provided participants with valuable insights to help develop curricula that ensure workers are equipped with skills relevant to today's industries, according to a report from the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI) on Wednesday.
The workshop focused on enhancing skills in curriculum design for four priority sectors, including inventory management, customer service, machine tools, and electric/hybrid vehicle repair.
The event marks a significant step forward in improving vocational education and training in Laos, said the report. ■
