SYDNEY, May 20 (Xinhua) -- A man has been killed in a late-night shooting in Sydney's southwest suburbs.
Emergency services were called to reports that a man had been shot at a home in Condell Park, 20 km southwest of central Sydney, about 10:30 p.m. on Monday night.
A police statement said that officers arrived at the scene and found a man in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was treated by ambulance paramedics but could not be revived and died at the scene.
Police established a crime scene and detectives have commenced an investigation into the incident.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported that officers are investigating whether a burnt-out car found in a nearby suburb a short time later is linked to the shooting. ■
