KHARTOUM, May 20 (Xinhua) -- The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) on Tuesday declared Khartoum State free of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), ending the group's presence in the state after more than two years.
In a statement, the SAF announced that Khartoum purged of the "rebels and their supporters."
The SAF also vowed to continue military operations until all remaining areas under RSF control are fully reclaimed. ■
