ISLAMABAD, May 19 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed and 20 others injured in a suicide explosion at a marketplace in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, official sources said.
The blast happened at about 10:30 p.m. local time (1730 GMT) on Sunday in Killa Abdullah district of the province, where a suicide bomber detonated his explosive-laden vehicle in the market located near a fort of paramilitary troops, the sources told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
"Vehicles marching towards the fort were engaged by security personnel, triggering the explosion in the nearby market," the sources added.
The injured people have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
No group has claimed the attack yet. The area has been cordoned off for investigation, the sources said, adding that the situation is still fluid in the area. ■
