KABUL, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Several shops have been damaged as a market caught fire in Kunduz city, the capital of northern Afghanistan's Kunduz province, on Friday, provincial police spokesman Juma Din Khaksar said.
The wild fire broke out Friday morning in Azizi market and badly damaged several shops, Khaksar said, adding the exact damage inflicted to the market would be made public after investigation.
The firefighters have extinguished the fire, and no one has been hurt in the incident, he added. ■
