KABUL, May 15 (Xinhua) -- A total of 50 Afghan nationals released from Pakistan jails recently returned to their homeland on Wednesday, reported the state-run Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA) on Thursday.
After receiving necessary assistance at a border crossing point, the returnees would be transported to their home provinces.
Nearly 400 Afghan nationals have been set free from Pakistan jails and returned to their homeland over the past couple of weeks.
Meanwhile, a total of 3,465 Afghan refugee families totaling 16,376 members returned to their homeland from Pakistan and Iran over the past week. ■
