NEW YORK, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices advanced on Friday.
The West Texas Intermediate for June delivery increased 1.11 U.S. dollars, or 1.85 percent, to settle at 61.02 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for July delivery went up 1.07 dollars, or 1.7 percent, to settle at 63.91 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange. ■
