KABUL, May 9 (Xinhua) -- A child lost his life as lightning struck a house in eastern Afghanistan's Wardak province on Thursday night, the local media Tolo news reported Friday.
The mishap took place late Thursday night in Narkh district, leaving an eight-year-old boy dead on the spot, the report said.
Over the past couple of days, parts of Afghanistan, including Wardak, Khost and Ghazni provinces, have experienced snowfall, heavy rains, thunder and lightning. ■
