JAKARTA, May 9 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian government is currently preparing a set of deregulation measures for several products related to import, export, and domestic trade to facilitate investment and attract more investors, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso said on Thursday.
"We will deregulate certain products as part of our efforts to attract foreign investment and make it easier for investors to operate businesses in Indonesia. The deregulation will cover import policy, export policy, and domestic trade policy," Santoso said at an event in Jakarta.
The government is aiming to complete the drafting of the revised regulation by the end of this week.
Despite global economic uncertainties, Indonesia is currently pushing efforts to attract global investment in a bid to achieve higher economic growth. ■
