TALLINN, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Estonia will reallocate 200 million euros (226 million U.S. dollars) in unused European Union (EU) Cohesion Policy funds to enhance national defence over the coming years, Prime Minister Kristen Michal announced Thursday.
The move involves cutting funds from various ministerial programs. Ministries must submit their reallocation proposals this month, with final defence investment decisions to follow.
A formal implementation plan is expected to be presented to the European Commission in the second half of the year. (1 euro = 1.13 U.S. dollar) ■
