JERUSALEM -- The Israeli military said it struck eastern and southern Lebanon on Monday night, targeting what it described as a "strategic weapons facility" and militant sites belonging to Hezbollah.
The military said in a statement that Hezbollah used the facility in the Beqaa area for the production and storage of strategic weapons. It also reported identifying attempts by Hezbollah to "re-establish presence and operations within the facility." (Israel-Lebanon-Strikes)

SANAA -- Israeli warplanes carried out dozens of airstrikes on Yemen's Hodeidah province on Monday, wounding at least 21 people and causing extensive damage, Houthi-run media and residents said, a day after the militant group claimed a missile attack near Tel Aviv's main airport.
Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV reported that at least 48 airstrikes hit the Red Sea province, targeting the port city of Hodeidah, its airport, a cement factory, and military positions northeast of the city. (Israel-Houthis-Attack)

TEHRAN -- Iran and the European Union (EU) have voiced their readiness to hold political talks over their differences and mutual concerns, according to a statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Monday.
In a phone call, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas discussed the latest regional and international developments, as well as the progress of indirect nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington, said the statement. (Iran-EU-Talks)

JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Monday that the country's new offensive in the Gaza Strip would be "intensive," referring to a plan approved by his security cabinet on escalating the ongoing campaign in Gaza.
The security cabinet voted overnight in favor of the plan, under which Israel would expand the offensive to seize Gaza, control aid, and relocate the population to the south of the enclave. (Israel-Gaza-New Offensive) ■
