DAMASCUS -- Israeli air activity intensified across Syria on Friday, with warplane strikes reported in capital Damascus as well as central and western provinces, and drone activities observed in several regions, according to Syrian media and a monitor group.

BEIRUT -- Lebanon's Supreme Defense Council on Friday issued a recommendation to the government, warning Hamas against carrying out "any actions that could undermine the country's sovereignty and national security."

GAZA -- At least 32 Palestinians have been killed and many others injured in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip since dawn on Friday, the enclave's Civil Defense reported.
Six people were killed and several others injured in an Israeli raid targeting a charitable hospice near the Abdel-Al Junction in the center of Gaza City, and two were killed in an Israeli shelling targeting a house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood north of the city, Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal told Xinhua. TEHRAN -- The Iranian Foreign Ministry on Friday stressed that while remaining committed to the path of diplomacy, the country would not tolerate the U.S. threat- and pressure-based approaches.
The ministry made the remarks in a statement reacting to a Thursday post on social media platform Truth Social by U.S. President Donald Trump, who said all purchases of Iranian oil or petrochemical products must stop immediately, as well as the fresh U.S. sanctions imposed earlier this week on a number of individuals and entities in Iran and other countries.
