KABUL, April 22 (Xinhua) -- A joint Afghanistan-Kazakhstan business forum opened here on Tuesday, the state-run Bakhtar news agency reported.
The forum, with the participation of more than 400 businessmen, companies and entrepreneurs from both countries, opened in the wake of the visit of Kazakhstan Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin.
Speaking at the forum, Afghan Acting Minister for Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi announced that the trade volume between his country and Kazakhstan would reach 3 billion U.S. dollars annually.
The Kazakhstan deputy prime minister, in a meeting with Afghan officials, assured his country's support in the fields of railway, transport, health, mining, technology and agriculture to help stabilize the post-war Afghanistan. ■
