KHARTOUM -- At least 62 civilians were killed in a shelling by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, in western Sudan, the Sudanese army announced on Thursday.

GAZA/RAMALLAH -- At least 39 Palestinians were killed and dozens more wounded in Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, according to the Gaza-based civil defense.
Mahmoud Basal, a spokesperson for the civil defense, told Xinhua the Israeli attacks targeted several locations, including shelter tents, schools repurposed as refugee camps, and residential homes. Women and children were among the casualties, he said. (Palestine-Israel) ■
